Peacock in Full Flight

Have you ever seen a peacock in full flight?

I guess I never thought of peacocks flying.
They’re always on the ground, strutting around!
They must have strong wings… and a lot of determination!

We never imagine that it could be so magnificent  . . like a phoenix in a fairy tale!!!

Another amazing aspect to the regal peacock.

Did you ever see anything so stunningly beautiful?

  1. Very amazing Barb. Just beautiful. I have a friend who bought a peacock for their son for a birthday present and did not know that they could fly. He had his gift for about two minutes before it flew away. Thanks for sharing. Jeanne

  2. Wow! Beautiful!!! I’m on a three week break from my courses and am catching up with blogging friends. This is the first post I landed on when I stopped by this site, and what a post! I love peacocks, but I’ve never seen one in flight. Stunning!

  3. Hello Barb.. I am so passionate about my pet I was out talking to her and covered her up with a blanket like a real baby. My dog loves me so much and I love her! Your animal images and your discussion re pets is an inspiration to me and so I have given you the ” Very Inspiring Blogger Award”. It was given to me and I am passing it on to those that inspire me also. Thank you for inspiring me. http://wp.me/p1viVP-Z5

    • You are in good company Tilly – not many of us here knew they could fly either – including myself – until quite recently!
They are awesome birds – in flight or on the ground!

  4. Like everyone else, I’m astonished. I assumed — if they could fly at all — they’d fly like wild turkeys. (Which is competent but kinda klutzy.)
But they’re stunning! And gorgeous, with those gloriously eyes-on-paisley trailing tails!

Penny for your thoughts . . .
